A man identified as Chinedu Aniekuoko has been paraded by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command for allegedly chaining and confining his biological sister for one and a half years over claims of ritual-related activities.
According to police authorities, the suspect reportedly kept the woman locked up and restrained for approximately 18 months under circumstances described as inhumane and disturbing. The incident, which came to light following investigations by security operatives, has sparked widespread outrage among residents and human rights advocates.
