The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bagom, has approved the dismissal of 30 special advisers as part of a restructuring exercise aimed at strengthening governance and service delivery.
The decision was announced during the governor’s first State Executive Council meeting with newly inaugurated commissioners at the Government House in Minna, according to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim.
The move, Ibrahim explained, was intended to reshuffle and reposition the administration’s advisory structure in line with Governor Bagom’s New Niger agenda, with a focus on improving efficiency, coordination, and effectiveness across government operations.
The governor reportedly thanked the affected aides for their service and commitment to the administration, while wishing them success in their future pursuits.
