President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has finally returned to Abuja after concluding his annual working vacation in Europe, the Presidency confirmed on Monday.
The President arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport where he was warmly received by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Wale Edun.
According to a statement from the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu ended his working holiday ahead of schedule and has resumed official duties at the Presidential Villa in Abuja as of Tuesday.
President Tinubu departed Nigeria on September 4, 2025, for France, with plans to split his vacation between Paris and London. During his stay in the French capital, he held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.
The two leaders reportedly discussed strengthening bilateral ties, boosting economic cooperation, and collaborating on strategies for global peace and security.
This marks Tinubu’s second foreign working vacation since assuming office in May 2023. The Presidency noted that despite the holiday, Tinubu remained engaged in high-level diplomatic and economic talks aimed at advancing Nigeria’s international partnerships.
