Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is reportedly battling stage 4 cancer.
The development emerged after his daughter, Kira Taiwo, made an emotional appeal on social media for medical advice and assistance.
According to Kira, doctors have said they can no longer administer chemotherapy to the actor due to his condition. The family is therefore seeking information on possible alternative treatment options, including specialised medical procedures and traditional remedies.
She stressed that the family was not seeking financial donations but was asking for information that could help her father access possible treatment.
“Please, we are begging you, Dad, if you know who can treat him. Hospital is saying that they can’t give him chemo. Kindly send me or limataiwo_ a DM. 07031328196, that’s my number. Please, we are not begging for money,” Kira wrote in the caption.
The family’s appeal has prompted concern among fans and colleagues, with many offering prayers and support for the veteran actor.
