The Big Brother Naija reality show held a heartfelt tribute in memory of three former housemates who have passed away — Francisca Owumi, Joseph Ada, and Rico Swavey.
During the solemn moment, the current season’s contestants gathered as images of the late stars were displayed on screen. A minute of silence was then observed in honour of their memories.
Francisca Owumi, the runner-up of the 2006 debut season, was celebrated for her vibrant spirit, infectious energy, and love for dance. She passed away in 2024 after a prolonged illness.
Joseph “Joe” Ada, also part of the pioneer 2006 season, was remembered fondly following his death in May 2023 after health-related complications.
The tribute also honoured Patrick Fakoya, popularly known as Rico Swavey, from the 2018 Double Wahala season. Rico, admired for his creativity and calm personality, tragically died in a 2022 car accident.
The emotional remembrance stirred deep emotions among fans and viewers, underscoring the impact these former housemates made during and after their time on the show.
