NDLEA recovers 20.75kg Black Liquid Cocaine In Abuja

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has recovered drugs from a 52 years old father of four.

The suspect named Okeke Adolphus Anayochukwu was found with 20.75 kilograms of the black liquid cocaine, upon his arrival at the Abuja airport.

He explained that he was a business man dealing in children wares before delving into the illicit drugs business.

He also added that he met the person who gave him the consignment to deliver in Nigeria for a fee of Two million (2,000,000) Naira at a drinking joint in Brazil.

The NDLEA stated that other operations across the country, different quantities of various drugs were recovered from suspects.

Suspected persons named Tony Samson, Paul Adamu and Reuben waziri from Kaduna state were arrested with 18,380 tables of Tramadol, 12,500 tablets of Diazepam and Exol-5 tables were found in their position.

NDLEA operatives in Anambra state, intercepted a bus with reg.No AGU 460 ZW, at obosi bridge heading to Aba, Abia state from Onitsha. During a search, seven and the half jumbo sacks of cannabis were recovered weighing 362kg. Ifeanyi Anyamele that was the driver admitted to be the owner of the drug exhibits.

Ogun state narcotic officers recovered 865.2kg of cannabis sativa around otapeleobada road in Imekoafon LGA. The shipment was brought to Benin Republic on motorcycles for onward transportation to Lagos and Abeokuta.

Some operatives in ogun state arrested Bello Ibrahim who is 38 years old with 312.4kg of cannabis sativa at ogere tollgate, Ikene LGA.

While congratulating officers and men of the NAIA, Kaduna, Anambra and Ogun state commands of the Agency for the vigilance and diligence, Chairman|Chief Executive of NDLEA Brig.Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (Retd) Urged them and their counterpart across the country to always remain step ahead of the tricks of drug traffickers and the barons.
