NAWOJ Hails New Police Spokesperson

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu on his appointment as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement, the association described the appointment by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, as a well-deserved recognition of CSP Iniedu’s professionalism, competence, and dedication to service.
NAWOJ noted that the newly appointed police spokesperson possesses extensive experience in public communication, intelligence management, operational policing, and institutional accountability. The association highlighted his achievements as Head of the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, where he spearheaded initiatives aimed at strengthening public trust and improving relations between the police and citizens.
According to the association, CSP Iniedu’s track record demonstrates his ability to effectively manage the responsibilities of serving as the public face of the Nigeria Police Force. NAWOJ expressed confidence that his expertise in strategic communication and public engagement would enhance cooperation between the police and the media while promoting transparency and accountability.
The association also commended the Inspector-General of Police for the appointment, stating that it reflects a commitment to professionalism and effective public communication within the force.
NAWOJ further expressed optimism that CSP Iniedu would bring innovation, excellence, and renewed public confidence to the role. The association pledged its support for the new FPRO in advancing responsible communication, public enlightenment, and national development throughout his tenure.
