President Bola Tinubu has nominated Dr. Bernard Doro from Plateau State as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The nomination has been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation.

Doro’s nomination fills the vacancy left by Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, who was elected National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in July.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

Presidency sources told our correspondent that President Tinubu, during a private meeting with close aides on Monday evening, signaled his intent to nominate individuals for two vacant ministerial positions. One of the positions is that of the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, left open following a recent resignation.

Dr. Doro, born on January 23, 1969, in Kwall, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in clinical practice, pharmaceutical management, strategic leadership, and community development. His career spans both the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
