Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has extended warm Easter greetings to the Christian community across the state, calling for prayers, unity, and reflection during the 2025 Easter season.
In his Easter message released on Sunday, Governor Idris described the season as a sacred period marked by sober reflection, peace, sacrifice, and renewed hope. He urged Christians to use the occasion to pray for continued peace, unity, and the socio-economic development of Kebbi State and Nigeria at large.
“Easter reminds us that even in the face of difficulties, darkness is temporary, and light will ultimately prevail,” the governor stated. “This season should rekindle our collective spirit of resilience and optimism.”
Governor Idris called on the faithful to draw inspiration from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, especially his virtues of tolerance, patience, love, and understanding, emphasizing that these values are essential to building a strong and inclusive society.
He encouraged the Christian faithful to promote peace and harmony, not just within their communities, but across religious and ethnic lines.
“As we celebrate Easter, let us extend the message of love and unity to all people regardless of background. Together, we can overcome challenges and achieve lasting progress,” he added.
The Kebbi State Government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring peaceful co-existence among all religious groups, while promoting policies that foster inclusiveness and development.
