Hope Raisers Global Foundation Partners With Rite Place Health On The Need To Eradicate Water Borne Diseases

A Non-governmental Organization, Rite Place Health Initiative has emphasized the need for individuals, communities and Groups to work with Government to avoid water borne diseases and ensure quality water in Nigeria and Africa.

The Executive Director of the NGO, Dr. Chukwuemezie Okolo gave the indication during the 2024 International Water Conference in Abuja.

Dr. Okolo also advocated that Primary Health Centers use clean and quality water to deliver on their mandates to the people.

Wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience Jonathan, represented by her Chief Protocol, Pebanwi Delphiwe stressed the urgent need to address water insecurity considering the recent outbreak of water borne diseases.

The Executive Secretary of the FCT Primary Health Care Board, Dr Rukkaiya Wamakko said water borne diseases had continued to be a significant public health concern since access to safe drinking water remained a challenges.

Some of the collaborators of the event said their organisations were working with Rite Place Health Initiative to focus on post-conference involving more campaigns at the rural areas as well as following up on Governments to deliver on their mandates to the people.

The theme of the Conference is: “Beyond Access – Quality Matters”.
