Global Afrobeats superstar David “Davido” Adeleke has been officially inducted as a Voting Member of the Recording Academy, the organization behind the Grammy Awards.
The announcement was made in a video posted on the Recording Academy’s official Instagram page on Tuesday, confirming Davido’s eligibility to participate in selecting winners for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled to take place on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Expressing his excitement, Davido said his inclusion as a voting member marks a new chapter in his global music journey:
“Understanding the importance of how our voices are heard and participating in the Grammy Award process is a game-changer.
I’ve learned that voting empowers you to have a say in what is considered and voted on each award season. I’m honoured to be part of the Recording Academy community, and I look forward to voting.”
The Recording Academy also confirmed that voting for the 2026 Grammy Awards will begin on October 3, urging new members to review ballots and cast votes early.
