The Ondo State Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, has congratulated the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on her conferment of a Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.) Honoris Causa by Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD).
A statement issued in Akure, Akinlosotu described the recognition as well-deserved, and commended Dr. Dabiri-Erewa for her outstanding contributions to national development, Diaspora engagement, and exemplary public service.
He praised her as a visionary leader and nation builder whose dedication to the welfare of Nigerians abroad continues to earn global admiration.
“Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa’s consistent drive, patriotism, and devotion to service have made her an icon of integrity and inspiration. Her recognition by ABUAD is a testament to her enduring impact and leadership excellence,” he stated.
The Commissioner highlighted her trailblazing efforts in promoting Nigeria’s image worldwide and inspiring younger generations, especially women, to embrace diligence, discipline, and service to humanity.
Reaffirming Ondo State’s commitment to strengthening Diaspora relations, Akinlosotu noted that the state remains a reliable partner of NiDCOM through initiatives such as the Ondo Diaspora Smart City Project and the annual Ondo Diaspora Week.
He emphasized Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s dedication to deepening ties with Nigerians abroad for inclusive development and concluded by praying for continued grace and wisdom for Dr. Dabiri-Erewa as she continues her service to Nigeria and humanity.
