The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced an extension for Hajj fare payments via bank draft, following a directive from the National Hajj Commission.
Speaking at an orientation workshop for staff and local government center officers at Grand Central Hotel, the board’s Director General, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, confirmed that the new deadline for payments is now the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Alhaji Danbappa also disclosed that the board has already remitted over ₦22 billion to the National Hajj Commission on behalf of Kano State pilgrims.
During the event, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, called on staff and Local Government Hajj Center Officers to enhance their efforts in ensuring a smooth pilgrimage process.
Additionally, the Director General praised the Kano State Government for its continuous support in addressing the board’s operational needs.
