President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially presented the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag to the party’s Anambra State gubernatorial candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
The presentation took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where President Tinubu received the delegation, which included APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje and APC Deputy National Vice Chairman (South East), Emma Eneukwu.
The symbolic handover of the party flag signals the formal endorsement of Ukachukwu and Ekwunife by the APC leadership. The event is a key milestone in the party’s preparation for the 2025 Anambra gubernatorial election, as it seeks to consolidate support in the Southeast region.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening APC’s presence in Anambra and called on the candidates to engage voters with issue-based campaigns focused on development, security, and good governance.
