The Chief Imam of the National Mosque Abuja, Muhammad Kabir Adam, has disclosed that special prayers were offered for the peace, health, and success of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he marked his 74th birthday.

Speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the prayer session in Abuja, the cleric explained that the gathering was organised to celebrate the President’s new age and seek divine guidance for his leadership.

He noted that Islamic scholars and clerics from across Nigeria converged on the mosque to pray for the President, asking God to grant him good health, wisdom, and the compassion required to lead the country effectively.

According to the Chief Imam, the event also drew the attendance of top government officials, including state governors, ministers, members of the National Assembly, security chiefs, and presidential aides.

Although the National Mosque served as the venue, Dr. Adam stated that the prayer session was organised by Kabiru Masari, with more than 300 Islamic scholars in attendance.

He congratulated President Tinubu on attaining the age of 74 and urged him to remain grateful to Almighty God while continuing to serve the nation.

The cleric further called on the President to prioritise policies that would ease the hardship faced by Nigerians, strengthen infrastructure, and address security challenges to safeguard lives and property.

The special prayer session formed part of activities marking the President’s birthday, with prayers also offered for national unity, stability, and progress.
