The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council has partnered with Premium Times to promote press freedom, ethical journalism, and better working conditions for journalists.
During a courtesy visit to Premium Times’ office on Tuesday, NUJ FCT Chairman Comrade Grace Ike emphasized the union’s commitment to empowering journalists through training, legal protection, and advocacy for improved welfare. She described Premium Times as a trusted media platform dedicated to credible journalism.
Premium Times’ Editor-in-Chief, Musikilu Mojeed, welcomed the partnership, highlighting the need for continuous professional development and ethical reporting in Nigeria’s evolving media space. He also stressed the importance of journalists’ welfare, including health insurance, pension schemes, and legal protections.
The discussion also explored potential collaborations, such as workshops, investigative journalism projects, and policy advocacy to enhance media standards in Nigeria.
The visit concluded with a symbolic exchange of gifts, further cementing the partnership between NUJ FCT and Premium Times in advancing responsible journalism in Nigeria.
