Barely four hours after Reno Omokri was announced as one of President Bola Tinubu’s ambassadorial nominees, the former presidential aide took to his X handle to share a motivational message with Nigerians on the principles of success.
Omokri urged citizens to embrace flexibility and adaptability, stressing that only God’s natural laws remain unchangeable. According to him, success requires the willingness to adjust to life’s circumstances rather than remaining rigid.
“You are not a tree,” he wrote. “You have the ability to adjust to situations. Make peace with your enemies wherever and whenever possible. That you quarrelled yesterday doesn’t mean you must feud for life.”
He advised people to remain focused on long-term goals, even if it means enduring temporary discomfort—such as driving an old car or repeating outfits—while working toward financial stability. He added that taking strategic losses can sometimes be necessary to attain leadership or business success.
Omokri also cautioned against seeking validation from others. “Close your mind to what people will say,” he noted. “People will always talk, and if you listen, you too will always baulk. Only what God says matters.”
His message quickly drew attention, coming just hours after his nomination and sparking conversations online about personal discipline, resilience, and public expectations.
