NUJ Commends Kebbi Govt, Calls for Peaceful Coexistence During Eid

The Kebbi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has extended warm felicitations to the state government and the Muslim community on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement signed by Chairman Comrade Bello Sarki Abubakar and Secretary Ismail Adebayo, the NUJ praised the Muslim Ummah in Kebbi for successfully completing the 29-day Ramadan fast and marking the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The council emphasized the importance of unity, peaceful coexistence, and harmony among residents, urging citizens to uphold the values of Islam and the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It also called on the people to support Governor Nasir Idris’ administration in its ongoing efforts to foster peace across the state’s 21 local government areas.

Commending the Kebbi State Government for its welfare initiatives, the NUJ acknowledged the distribution of food items to both Muslims and non-Muslims during Ramadan as a gesture of inclusivity and compassion.

The council further encouraged the people of Kebbi to back the government’s development projects aimed at economic progress and overall well-being. It wished all residents a joyous and peaceful Sallah celebrations.
