In a demonstration of commitment to social welfare, Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has donated 12 cows, bags of rice, and other essential cooking ingredients to Custodial Centers across the state in celebration of Eid Mubarak.
The initiative aligns with the administration’s dedication to supporting vulnerable populations, including inmates. Hajiya Azumi Namadi Bebeje, Chairperson of the Committee for Prerogative of Mercy, emphasized that such gestures play a crucial role in effective custodial management, rehabilitation, and reintegration of inmates into society.
Receiving the donations, Kano State Controller of Corrections, Ado Inuwa, expressed gratitude to the government for its consistent support. He noted that the act of kindness fosters a sense of belonging among inmates, reinforcing their rehabilitation journey.
