….Launches Initiative to Support Communities

The Champions Faith Assembly has rounded off its annual convention with a strong message urging Nigerians to adopt a “Kingdom Mentality” that fosters unity, moral transformation, and nation-building.

Delivering the closing charge, Senior Pastor of the church, Apostle Godspower Udjor, said the theme “Kingdom Mentality” was chosen to remind Christians that the body of Christ is united beyond denominations.

“When you are a Christian, you are not just a child of God in your denomination. The entirety of the body of Christ is one. Kingdom Mentality means honoring Jesus and allowing His values to shape our communities,” Apostle Udjor stated.

He emphasized that faith should influence society positively, adding that communities thrive when godly values take root.

“If we are able to colonize our environment with godly values, we will have better communities, less crime, and more focused citizens,” he noted.

To extend the spiritual and humanitarian impact of the gathering, Apostle Udjor announced the launch of a new outreach tagged “Beyond Convention.”

The program, he explained, would provide ongoing welfare support through food and clothing distribution, skills empowerment, and other community-based interventions.

“It doesn’t have to be a convention before people eat or get clothed. Beyond Convention is our way of sustaining both the people and the temple,” he said.

On Nigeria’s economic and social challenges, Apostle Udjor stressed that the church must do more than preach by actively addressing the needs of the people.

“We have set up businesses, given scholarships, secured jobs for the unemployed, and even helped people out of prison. Our impact has reached not only Christians but also Muslims, widows, and military families. We believe this is what true ministry represents,” he explained.

Encouraging Nigerians not to lose faith in the country, Apostle Udjor appealed for unity and optimism despite current challenges.

“Don’t give up on Nigeria. Don’t talk down on Nigeria. Regardless of our ethnic, religious, or political differences, we are Nigerians first. There is hope for this nation,” he said.

To political leaders, he advised integrity and responsibility in governance.

“We know you may not have met things the way you expected, but be faithful with what you have. Don’t write your name badly in the hearts of Nigerians. Leave a legacy that will make Nigerians bless and pray for you, even after your tenure,” he charged.

The week-long convention featured teachings, testimonies, worship sessions, and humanitarian projects designed to uplift both members and the wider community.
