The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that online registration for prospective corps members (PCMs) in the 2026 Batch C will take place next month.

The scheme also warned that obtaining a National Education Records Database (NERD) Clearance Certificate is compulsory before prospective corps members can complete their NYSC registration.

In a notice published on X, the NYSC urged all PCMs to obtain their NERD clearance before beginning the registration process.
“NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs,” the scheme stated.

It added: “No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.”

The NYSC advised prospective corps members to secure their clearance early to avoid delays during the mobilisation process.

It warned that candidates without the required NERD clearance would not be able to register for the service year.

The registration window for the 2026 Batch C is expected to open and close next month, with the scheme urging all prospective corps members to complete their NERD clearance ahead of registration.
