Nigeria’s Falconets remain in contention for a place in the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after drawing 0-0 with China in their second Group F match.
The result at Arena Sosnowiec in Poland gives Nigeria their first point of the tournament after their 2-0 defeat by Spain in their opening fixture.
The Falconets created several chances against China but failed to find the breakthrough as both teams settled for a share of the points.
China came into the match after a 5-0 victory over New Caledonia. The draw takes them to four points, leaving them second in Group F.
Spain top the group with six points and have already secured a place in the last 16. They defeated Nigeria 2-0 in their opening match before producing one of the tournament’s biggest victories.
