UN Calls On FG To Tackle Hunger And Other Threats To Agricultural Productivity

The United Nations has again predicted that 82 million Nigerians, about 64 per cent of the country’s population, may go hungry by 2030, calling on the government to tackle climate change, pest infestations, and other threats to agricultural productivity. The prediction comes in the wake of a persistent hike in food prices in the country. NIMET Predicts Rainfall Delays In North Central States

  The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NIMET has predicted delays in rainfall especially in the North Central States, while Borno, Abia and Akwa Ibom States will have early rains. VET-Toolbox: Julius Berger To Train 1,000 Cashew Farmers.

Mrs Kikelomo Chibeze, the Project Manager, VET-Toolbox, has said that the organisation alongside with Julius Berger Plc would orgnise pilot training programmes for 1,000 cashew farmers in the country. Nigeria To Stop Importation Of Agricultural Products- Buhari
