Xavier Musk, one-half of a set of twins born to billionaire, Elon Musk, has asked a Los Angeles court for a change of name and surname.

According to a report on June 20, Elon’s transgender daughter filed a petition with the Los Angeles County Superior Court in mid-April requesting both a name change and a new birth certificate.

Following her new gender identity, Elon’s 18-year-old daughter, formerly known as Xavier Alexander Musk, states in the petition that she “no longer lives with” or “wishes to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”

The 18-year-old also asked the court to change her gender recognition from male to female and to register her new name in the petition.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has come under fire in recent years for his controversial tweets about transgender people and their preferred pronouns.

Elon tweeted in July 2020 that “pronouns stink.” “I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare,” he wrote later that year.

Elon’s attorney has not responded to the report.
