The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have suspended their planned protest in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), directing workers under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to resume duties with immediate effect.

The decision followed an overnight meeting between labour leaders, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and members of the Senate Committee of the FCT, which stretched into the early hours of today.

According to the discussion, the marathon engagement resulted in an agreement that prompted the unions to call off the protest and restore normal operations across FCTA offices.

More details are expected to emerge.
