Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has opened up about the level of trust in her marriage, revealing that her husband has no issue with her kissing fellow actors as part of her work in the film industry.
Speaking during an appearance on The Morayo Show, hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the actress was asked whether her husband ever gets jealous because of the nature of her profession and whether there are boundaries in their marriage.
Responding, Toyin said jealousy has not been a major issue in their relationship, although she once reacted to a post she saw on her husband’s page.
“Nah. But there was just a day I saw one post on his page, and it was like, ‘Hmm, nonsense,’ you understand? But no,” she said.
When asked whether her husband was uncomfortable with her kissing actor Gabriel Afolayan in a movie, the actress dismissed the concern.
“I can even kiss anybody. Gabriel is my guy,” she said.
Toyin further stated that she maintains healthy relationships with her colleagues and their spouses, stressing that she does not engage in adultery.
“Most of my colleagues’ wives are comfortable with me. I can do every other thing, but adultery is not even one of it. God forbid it. I don’t do it,” she added.
Speaking on Nollywood movie releases, the actress explained why many blockbuster films are often released in December, noting that the festive period usually attracts larger cinema audiences because more people are at home.
She, however, noted that recent box office performances have shown that films can also succeed outside the holiday season.
“December, everybody is at home. But God just showed us how powerful He is. I’m proud of Dami and Blessing. It did over ₦700 million, and it’s not even festive period,” she said.
