Super Eagles set to open camp ahead of 2026 World Cup playoff against Gabon

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are expected to report to camp next week ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff clash with Gabon.

This was confirmed in a post on the team’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, which read, “The road to #2026FIFAWorldCup continues. One week till the Eagles regroup for the playoffs.”

Nigeria will face the Panthers of Gabon on November 13 at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, as the team begins the final push toward securing a World Cup ticket.

The other playoff semi-final will see DR Congo square off against Cameroon in what promises to be another high-stakes encounter.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is expected to release his final squad list this week, as fans eagerly await which players will make the cut for the decisive fixture.
