Ogun NUJ Commiserates with Governor Abiodun Over Death of Tunde Oladunjoye

The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Ambassador Tunde Oladunjoye, Consultant on Media to Governor Dapo Abiodun and Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State.

In a statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, and Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun, the union described Oladunjoye’s death as a painful and shocking loss not just to the media and political communities, but to Ogun State as a whole.

“The news of his demise hit us with shock and disbelief. Ambassador Oladunjoye was a resilient media strategist, an astute politician, and a man of immense public service whose contributions to governance and humanity will be fondly remembered,” the statement read.

The NUJ noted that his untimely death is a significant loss, especially as he passed away in his prime. “This tragic moment reminds us of the unpredictability of life. Though we never imagined he would leave us so soon, we surrender to the sovereign will of Almighty Allah who gives and takes,” the statement continued.

The Council offered its heartfelt condolences to Governor Dapo Abiodun, the APC family, and the bereaved family, urging them to find solace in the impactful life Oladunjoye lived.

“As the government, his loved ones, and the wider community mourn this irreparable loss, we pray that Allah grants his soul eternal rest and gives those he left behind the fortitude to bear this great loss,” the NUJ concluded.
