According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, the suspects—Abdulbasi Usman (19), Yahaya Isa (20), and Abubakar Sadiq-Abdullahi (20), all residents of Unguwar Rimi, along with Adamu Murtala (20) of Unguwa Uku Quarters—were apprehended for allegedly breaking into Government Secondary School Unguwar Rimi and Government Secondary School Unguwa Uku, both in Tarauni Local Government Area.

Items reportedly stolen from the schools include roofing sheets, iron rods, iron buckets, 20 three-seater cushion chairs, mats, seven windows, two ceiling fans, and several essential academic documents and teaching materials.

Idris-Abdullahi noted that efforts are ongoing to recover the stolen items, some of which have already been traced to a suspected receiver currently in NSCDC custody.

In a separate incident, a 17-year-old suspect, Alasan Inusa of Gidan Tela, PRP in Dambatta Local Government Area, was arrested for vandalizing power infrastructure. The Corps recovered six insulators, a 3-meter aluminum cable, and various nuts and brass components used in electric pole installations.

The NSCDC spokesperson confirmed that investigations into both cases have been concluded and the suspects will be prosecuted accordingly.
