The All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee has cleared seven aspirants to participate in the party’s Anambra State Governorship Primary Election set for Saturday, April 5, 2025.
A statement from Felix Morka, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, confirmed that the party has issued Certificates of Clearance to all aspirants. The screening committee, led by former Katsina State Governor Ibrahim Shema, approved the candidacies of Paul Chukwuma, Professor Obiora Okonkwo, Nicholas Ukachukwu, Chukwuma Umeoji, Valentine Ozigbo, Johnbosco Onunkwo, and Edozie Madu.
The statement further revealed that Valentine Chineto Ozigbo was granted a special waiver to contest the primary election.
As part of preparations for the election, the APC has also directed all members in Anambra State to revalidate their membership, in line with party guidelines.
