Temi Otedola has said her husband, singer Mr Eazi, does not need a push gift, insisting that the birth of their child is already the greatest gift he could receive.
Speaking on a recent episode of The How Far Podcast, the couple shared a light-hearted exchange about the tradition of giving push gifts after childbirth.
During the conversation, Mr Eazi asked what his own push gift would be once their baby arrives.
Responding, Temi said, “The child is the gift for you. You don’t need a gift.”
Mr Eazi, however, argued that fathers should also receive a gift, saying, “I think I also need a gift,” while questioning why men should be excluded from the tradition.
Temi disagreed, maintaining that push gifts are intended for mothers who go through the physical demands of childbirth.
“Then you should campaign for it because you haven’t even pushed anything, you didn’t even do any pushing,” she said.
The exchange has since sparked conversations on social media about whether fathers should also receive push gifts following the birth of a child.
