The Yobe State House of Assembly has approved the third reading of a bill seeking to amend the Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YOCHMA) Law 2025. The proposed amendment, aimed at enhancing healthcare administration and service delivery in the state, now awaits Governor Mai Mala Buni’s assent to become law.
Speaker of the House, Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio, reaffirmed the legislature’s commitment to working with the executive arm to improve healthcare services. He expressed confidence that the amendment would bolster YOCHMA’s operations, ensuring better access to quality and affordable healthcare for all residents.
The revised law is expected to refine the agency’s framework, enhance efficiency, and create a more effective healthcare delivery system across Yobe State.
