Afrobeats superstar Davido has spoken about the close bond he shares with his wife, Chioma, saying they communicate every day regardless of where he is in the world.
The award-winning singer made the remarks during a livestream with Darvel, where he described Chioma as an irreplaceable part of his life and stressed the importance of constant communication in their marriage.
“I talk to my wife every time, every day. She’s a part of me. I can’t live without her,” Davido said.
According to the singer, he regularly calls his wife over even the simplest moments, including when he comes across something amusing online.
“If I see any funny meme, I can call her. If I see another funny one, I’ll call her again,” he said.
Davido added that he also keeps in touch with Chioma while travelling, saying he calls her before take-off and immediately after landing.
“Landing oo, take off I’ll call her,” he said.
Offering relationship advice to his fans, the Afrobeats star encouraged couples to build friendships before marriage.
“Marry your best friend. Me, I love my wife,” he said.
