Suspected hoodlums wielding firearms and cutlasses launched a pre-dawn attack on the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Obeiba-Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to intelligence reports shared with security analyst Zagazola Makama, the Senator’s Chief Security Officer, Yakubu Ovanja, formally reported the incident to local security agencies.
The assault occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday and was reportedly carried out by at least three armed assailants who vandalized parts of the building, including breaking several window panes.
Following an emergency distress call, operatives from the Okehi Police Division promptly arrived at the scene to secure the area and initiate preliminary investigations. No injuries or casualties were reported, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
Police sources confirmed that the motive for the attack remains unclear, with investigations ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
