The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a revision of the orientation course timetable for prospective corps members deployed to Enugu and Osun States for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II exercise.
In a statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme said the adjustment became necessary due to ongoing renovation works at orientation camps in the affected states.
“The Orientation Course for prospective corps members deployed to Enugu and Osun States will now commence next week and end next month,” the statement read.
Explaining the reason for the shift, the NYSC added:
“This slight adjustment is due to the on-going extensive renovation of the camps by the state governments which has necessitated the change in date.”
The corps further clarified that the change does not affect other states, noting:
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Orientation Exercise for all other states and the FCT is scheduled to be held this week and next month.”
The scheme urged all affected prospective corps members to take note of the revised schedule and comply accordingly, while also wishing them safe travels to their respective deployment states.
NYSC had earlier confirmed the release of call-up letters for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II, with many prospective corps members reporting that deployment details and call-up numbers had become available on the portal.
Some candidates also confirmed that while the portal went live in the early hours of the day, access was temporarily disrupted due to high traffic volume.
