Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has graduated with a First Class honours degree in Law, describing the achievement as a reflection of discipline, academic excellence and years of hard work.
The actor announced the milestone in a post shared on his Instagram page after completing his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at Wisconsin International University College in Ghana.
Sharing his thoughts on the achievement, Vicker said earning a First Class distinction represents more than high academic performance, highlighting qualities such as discipline, critical thinking and commitment.

“A First Class Honours in LLB doesn’t automatically make me a better lawyer, but what it does mean is: Academic Excellence, Strong Discipline & Work Ethic, Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills, Prestige & Recognition, and Opportunities,” he wrote.
Despite the academic success, the actor stressed that legal practice requires more than excellent grades.

He said advocacy skills, emotional intelligence, practical experience and integrity remain essential for success in the legal profession.
“Success in the profession depends on advocacy skills, emotional intelligence, and practical courtroom or advisory experience, character and integrity, and continuous learning,” he said.
Vicker added that academic achievement provides only the foundation for a legal career and that becoming an accomplished lawyer demands continued learning and mentorship.
“First Class Honours is proof of academic mastery, not professional mastery. It’s a strong foundation, but becoming a great lawyer requires practice, mentorship, and character,” he added.
The actor’s achievement has attracted congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues, with many praising his ability to combine a successful entertainment career with legal studies.
His graduation adds him to a growing number of African entertainers pursuing academic and professional qualifications alongside their careers in the creative industry.
