Nollywood actress and African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has opened up about her past relationship, failed marriage and personal struggles before venturing into politics.

Speaking on The Clarity Zone podcast hosted by Nedu Wazobia, Ogala was asked who would be the state’s “first man” if she becomes governor. She revealed that she is currently single.

The actress said she dated Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, popularly known as Liberation City, between 2017 and 2019 before getting married.

Ogala said her marriage ended in 2022 after she experienced more than 10 miscarriages.

“I’m single now. I dated Pastor Chris Okafor from 2017 to 2019 and then I got married, but my marriage still crashed in 2022 because I had over 10 miscarriages,” she said.

Ogala became emotional while recounting the experience, describing it as one of the most difficult periods of her life.

The actress, who is now seeking to become governor of Abia State on the AAC platform, said her personal experiences have shaped her journey and decision to venture into politics.
