Reality TV star Queen Asoka has revealed that she secretly underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), a decision her parents only discovered after she developed serious complications.
Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Queen explained that her choice to have cosmetic surgery was not impulsive. She said it stemmed from a long-standing dream of building a career as a commercial and fashion model.
According to Queen, while her mother supported her ambitions, her father who is also a lawyer, wanted all his children to pursue careers in law.
She recalled how her mother would secretly take her to modelling competitions and how tension erupted at home after her father saw her featured in an Airtel advertisement at his office.
Determined to distinguish herself in the modelling industry, Queen said she felt she did not possess the typical height and body structure associated with fashion models.
As a result, she decided to enhance her body to create what she described as a “selling point,” particularly as she planned to pursue modelling opportunities abroad.
However, the procedure took a frightening turn when she developed fat necrosis, a serious complication that left her traumatised and isolated.
“I locked myself in my room,” Queen recounted, adding that her sister repeatedly pleaded with her to eat. On the second day, her sister insisted she open the door and immediately noticed a foul smell and leakage from the surgical site.
The alarming discovery prompted panic in the household and ultimately revealed to her parents that she had undergone the BBL procedure.
Queen described the experience as deeply traumatising, using her story to shed light on the risks associated with cosmetic surgery and the importance of family support. She added that once her parents found out, they ensured she received proper medical care to address the complications.
