WAEC Releases 2025 Computer-Based WASSCE Results for Private Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2025 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates.

In an announcement shared via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday, WAEC confirmed the development, stating, “The results of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, 2025 – First Series, have been released.”

Candidates who sat for the exam can now access their results through the council’s online portal.

The Federal Government has announced plans to issue bonds worth ₦758 billion to settle outstanding pension liabilities under the old Defined Benefit Scheme. Speaking after the 23rd Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, stated that the bonds would clear pension arrears accumulated before the 2004 introduction of the Contributory Pension Scheme. “These liabilities have built up over the years due to periodic wage increases. Men of the FCT Police Command, have arrested teachers and the proprietor of Star Child Academy in Kabusa, Abuja over the sudden disappearance of three pupils in the school.
