Actress Gina Onuoha has sparked reactions online after sharing a series of videos expressing concern over what she described as rising cases of domestic violence, child abuse and toxic masculinity in Igbo communities.

The actress said she was deeply disturbed by videos and images she received in recent days, which prompted her to speak publicly on the issue.

According to her, financial responsibility does not give any man the right to abuse women, stressing that character and integrity define true manhood.

Onuoha also condemned women who mistreat children placed in their care, describing such actions as abuse that should never be excused under cultural practices or family arrangements.

She called on traditional rulers, religious leaders and community stakeholders to address the issues openly before they escalate further.

The actress further advised women in abusive relationships to leave situations that endanger their lives or the well-being of children.

“There is a problem in Igbo land,” she said repeatedly, while urging both men and women to embrace change and do better.
