Nollywood actress Omeche Oko has revealed how she was injured during a motorcycle stunt gone wrong while filming a movie scene, describing the incident as a reminder of the risks actors face behind the camera.

The actress shared footage of the accident on Instagram on Wednesday, showing the moments before the crash, the aftermath at the filming location and her subsequent treatment in hospital.

In the video, Oko was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle being driven by fellow actor Victory Michael during the production of a scene.

The stunt took a dangerous turn when the motorcycle struck a metal barrier at the filming location. The impact reportedly injured Michael’s arm, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle and throwing Oko onto the ground.

Crew members and fellow actors were seen rushing to assist the actress as she cried out in pain before she was taken to hospital for treatment.

Subsequent footage showed Oko receiving medical attention, including injections and treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.

Reflecting on the incident, the actress said the experience highlighted the dangers performers often encounter while filming.

“Life is very, very fragile. It could have been a different story, but God said NO. If u see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is Thank You, God,” she wrote on Instagram.

The incident prompted an outpouring of support from colleagues and fans, many of whom wished the actress a speedy recovery.

One Instagram user, identified as xO_joannajordan, wrote: “My God. What fuels your passion won’t cause you pain. Sending you prayers and love.”

Another user, chekwasmichaels, said: “The struggles behind scenes, I pray for a quick comeback.”

Actor babarex0 also reacted, saying: “Thank God oo,” while fellow actor onyiialexx added: “Oh my baby. Glory be to God.”

The incident has renewed conversations about safety measures on film sets, particularly during scenes involving vehicles and stunts, as actors continue to navigate the physical demands of movie production.
