President Bola Tinubu has ordered a comprehensive security cordon around forests in Kwara State in response to recent cases of kidnapping and terrorist activities.
The President directed the Nigerian Air Force to intensify and expand aerial surveillance across the deepest parts of these forests, where terrorists are believed to be hiding.
Air units are to maintain round-the-clock monitoring and coordinate closely with ground troops to ensure swift action.
This directive also extends to parts of Kebbi and Niger States, where multiple rescue operations are expected to take place.
The Federal Government has urged local communities to provide timely and credible information on suspicious movements or activities to support the efforts of security agencies.
