Workers of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) staged a protest at the National Industrial Court in Abuja, intensifying their total and indefinite strike over unresolved labour disputes.
The action comes amid backing from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), which declared its full support for the strike, calling it “justified” in response to what it described as “persistent violations of workers’ rights by FCTA management and political leadership.”
Speaking to reporters, an NLC official said, “We stand firmly with the FCTA workers. The government must address their grievances, including unpaid promotion arrears and lack of proper working tools. Enough is enough.”
Protesters carried placards with bold inscriptions, including: “Wike must go!!. “Abuja no be Rivers. “Pay promotion arrears. “Enough is Enough. “No working tools.”

The strike, which has disrupted operations across the FCTA, shows no signs of ending as negotiations with management remain stalled.
Details are still emerging.
