Salt, the sister of Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, has shared her views on dating a man who is financially less wealthy than her.
Speaking on the Wahala Podcast, Salt was asked whether she would date a man who was less wealthy than her.
“I will control him o,” she replied.
When asked if she genuinely meant that she would control her partner, Salt said she was self-aware and believed her financial advantage would influence the relationship.
“Yes, I will, and I know myself. I am very self-aware. I will control you. Yes, I will control him because I am richer, and I am saying the truth,” she said.
Salt also said that women should be free to choose partners based on their personal preferences, adding that a man should still contribute financially to the relationship even if his partner earns more.
“Honestly, everybody has their preference, to be honest. Even though I am richer, he will still be providing,” she said.
She further explained that she would prefer to keep the extent of her wealth private from her partner.
“He wouldn’t even know I have a lot of money because I will not make him know that,” she added.
