President Tinubu Arrives Owerri for Official Visit, Inaugurates Key Infrastructure Projects

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Owerri, the Imo State capital, for a one-day official visit focused on commissioning major infrastructure projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The presidential aircraft touched down at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport at exactly 12:52 p.m., where the President was received by top government officials, party stalwarts, and traditional rulers.

Major Projects to Be Commissioned by President Tinubu

As part of his itinerary, President Tinubu is expected to commission the reconstructed 60-kilometer dual carriage Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia Federal Road, a significant infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving connectivity between Imo and Abia States.

Other projects slated for inauguration include the Assumpta Flyover, a key transport link designed to ease traffic congestion in Owerri and the 6,000-capacity Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, a modern facility intended to boost tourism and host international events in the South-East region.

These projects are among the landmark developments initiated and completed under the administration of Governor Uzodimma.

Governor Uzodimma’s Legacy: Book Presentation and Governance Review

Following the inaugurations, President Tinubu will attend the book presentation and public unveiling of “A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria,” authored by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
