Dr. Neemat Daud Abdulrahim honored with excellent award

In recognition of her exceptional contributions to Nigeria’s educational sector, Dr. Neemat Daud Abdulrahim, Director of the Education Resource Centre, FCT Administration, has been honored with the General Abdulsalami Abubakar Excellence Award in Public Service at the Nigeria Merit Awards 2024.

The prestigious event, organized by Nigeria News Magazine, celebrates distinguished Nigerians making significant strides in their respective careers. The ceremony brought together top government officials, industry leaders, and traditional rulers to acknowledge the efforts of individuals driving national progress.

A Celebration of Excellence and Dedication Representing the Vice President, Dr. Aliyu Moddibo, Special Adviser on General Duties, commended the organizers for their commitment to recognizing excellence, stating that such initiatives renew hope in Nigeria’s boundless potential.

The event’s chairman, Alhaji Umar Abdulmuttalab, emphasized that awardees were meticulously selected through a transparent process, ensuring only the most deserving individuals were honored. He urged recipients to continue their hard work, stating, “The reward for hard work is more work.”

In his keynote address, Professor Don Mcwarra, speaking on the theme “Nigeria Rising”, encouraged Nigerians not to lose faith in the country’s future, affirming that with collective effort, the nation can achieve global recognition and influence.

Presenting the award, Dr. AK Peters, Chairman of the Editorial Board and Planning Committee, lauded Dr. Abdulrahim’s commitment to governance, women’s empowerment, and social justice. Receiving the award, Dr. Abdulrahim expressed her gratitude to God and the event organizers, dedicating the honor to educators, librarians, and change-makers who believe in the transformative power of knowledge.
