The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has suspended admissions into the Law Faculty of Fountain University, Osogbo, for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This decision follows an additional directive from the Council of Legal Education (CLE), bringing the total number of affected universities to nine.
Previously, JAMB had announced that it would not process Law admissions for eight universities due to CLE’s suspension of their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programmes. The affected institutions include:
Kwara State University, Malete, Ilorin, Kwara State
Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State
Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State
Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State
Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State
Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo, Cross River State
Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State
Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State
With the latest directive, Fountain University, Osogbo, Osun State, has become the ninth institution where JAMB will not facilitate Law admissions for the upcoming session.
Additionally, the suspension of the Law programme at the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, will extend for two academic sessions (2025/2026 and 2026/2027), as mandated by the CLE.
The CLE has not yet disclosed specific reasons for these suspensions, but students intending to study Law at the affected institutions will need to seek alternatives.
