The General Overseer of Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Pastor Chukwuemeka Ohanere, popularly known as Pastor Odumeje, has criticised Nigerian religious leaders for what he described as their silence in the face of poor governance and injustice in the country.

Speaking during a recent sermon, Odumeje said pastors have a responsibility to speak out against government failures and defend the interests of the people rather than remain silent.

The cleric expressed disappointment over what he described as the reluctance of some church leaders to address issues affecting Nigerians, insisting that spiritual leaders should not shy away from speaking the truth to those in authority.

He also referenced the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, while lamenting what he sees as the lack of action by some prominent pastors on national issues.
