A Ukraine-trained resident nurse of Dowen College, Ms Omobola Kayode, has revealed that the late 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni Jnr., who was allegedly beaten up by some senior students had a minor injury on his thigh when she came in contact with him. No Extension of Registration – JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB says the ongoing 2022 UTME/DE registration exercise scheduled to end on 26th March, will not be extended. A statement by JAMB’s head of Public Relations Dr Fabian Benjamin says the time scheduled for the registration exercise from 19th February to 26th March, 2022, is the only window allotted by relevant authorities to the Board to conduct the exercise. FUTA Students Protest Lingering ASUU Strike

FG gives committee ultimatum on University’s payment system

The Federal Government has given the joint technical committee formed to re-test the viability of ASUU’s University Transparency Accountability Solutions, UTAS, for salary payment 4 weeks to report back. The re-testing of the software was spurred by ASUU’s rejection of the results of a user acceptance test conducted by the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, which determined that UTAS failed the integrity and vulnerability tests. Corps members warned against cultism, drug abuse

The Director General of NYSC, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim has warned Corps Members to avoid cultism, drug abuse and other social vices that can mar their future. FG continues negotiation with ASUU

  The federal government has returned to the table to continue negotiations with the Academic Staff Union of Universities. Tuesday’s meeting is the second of its kind since the union started a one-month strike 3 weeks ago. ASUU say they want better working conditions, the revitalisation of public universities, and university autonomy, among other demands.
