The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will unveil the official 2025 admission cut-off marks for universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and monotechnics on Tuesday, July 8.
The crucial decision will be made during the annual policy meeting, scheduled to hold at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja. This gathering brings together key stakeholders from Nigeria’s education sector, including vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, and regulatory officials.
JAMB made the announcement on Wednesday via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating, “The 2025 Policy Meeting holds on 8th July, 2025 at Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.”
The policy meeting serves as a platform for discussing and ratifying guidelines that will shape admission processes for the next academic year. This includes setting the minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores — commonly known as cut-off marks — for entry into higher institutions across the country.
Attendance at the meeting is strictly by invitation, but the board encouraged the public to stay connected via its official social media platforms for live updates.
Beyond deciding cut-off marks, the meeting will also establish comprehensive admission guidelines, registration timelines, and deadlines for applications. Additionally, JAMB is expected to officially announce the names of top-performing candidates from the 2025 UTME during the event.
The annual policy meeting remains a significant event in Nigeria’s education calendar, as it determines the admission roadmap for thousands of tertiary education hopefuls nationwide.
